restoring synaptic

I goofed trying to download and install 32 bit wine so it would run on 64 bit ubuntu according to instructions I found on the net.So now when I open synaptic manager I get an error message that it could not access the repository and I also get the following error message.Hoe do I fix this problem? thanks

Click ok, click Settings, then repositories. Highlight the ones you added then click remove.
You cant add wine with Synaptic in 64bit no matter what repository you find on the wine site. The reason you are getting the error is because there is no 64bit repository. Only a 32bit one you cant use.. Visit the link in my signature for the wine howto for amd64 version.
