If you've looked at Distrowatch today, you would've seen the FC6T3 release. I'm in the swarm right now, anxious to get my DVD ISO and try it out. It's always fun to see what the fedora guys are cooking up.
As a side note, I originally tried downloading with KTorrent, and it was flickering from 0KB/s to 30KB/s down/up, so I quit and rejoined the swarm with Azureus 2.5.0.0, and it's picking up a nice 150 down and 50 up. It looks like KTorrent still has some quirks to iron out. Maybe it's fixed in 2.0.2, but I don't know.
So far, Java is behaving itself (around 60MB reported 'memory' usage, but we all know how inaccurate that is), so I'll let it go for now.

i'm looking forward to when FC6 is released in october, but i won't be upgrading until sometime after then when all the packages that i have on my system have been released.
i have heard than an annoying bug has now been recifified in FC6 - the non-transparency in the notification area is now transparent. i don't know if that was a gnome bug or a fedora bug, though.

Well, down-to-the-core it's a GNOME/upstream bug, but fedora should've included the patch with their distro, like what many other distros did. then again, given fedora's way of being so proper with the upstream, it's understandable why they would've waited.

Hmm, I'm really waiting for Fecora 6 final, so I can finally test it! :)

There are few things in the latest Fedora that I would like to see in Ubuntu as well:
* Integrated smart card capabilities
Yes please. My next laptop might have smartcard-reader :)
* Further improvements in the Xen virtualization technology as well as the inclusion of a graphical application for creating and managing domains (virt-manager)
Any improvements to Xen would be very cool indeed
* Improved startup performance of applications due to support for the DT_GNU_HASH linker option
No idea what this is, but it sounds cool :)
I was kinda disappointed that FC6 still has KDE 3.5.3, even though 3.5.4 was released in the beginning of August!

After using Ubuntu for the past 6 months, it's kinda hard to go back to FC. I'm sticking with Ubuntu & Kubuntu.

Well, certainly I'll remain Ubuntu/Kubuntu on all my systems in the foreseeable future, but that doesn't mean I won't glance over and check out what other distros have done once in a while :)

The packages in Fedora Core 5 repos and the FC 6 t3 both dvd both say that they are KDE3.5.4 it maybe an error in the announcement. Then again I didn't actually install kde. But I am 90% sure that it is version 3.5.4!

I downloaded the CD ISO images earlier today and burned them. Unfortunately, I was not able to install it. The installation routine hung at 'running /sbin/loader.' I thought maybe abad iso, so I downloaded a new one and burned at a slow speed only to have the same error crop up.
I tried a couple different boot parameters with the same result.
