big time nOOb here. 3 months on suse and 3 days on ubuntu. ubuntu is great. I am almost away from having to have xp on my machine, BUT.....
during installation, I used a poor password for sudo, as i did not realize there was no root as in suse. how do i change it?

Typing this in a terminal should give you the results you want:
passwd or
man passwd

sudo passwd your_user_name
