The artwork is so amazing, I was speechless. Although themes like that wouldn't work on Ubuntu IMHO. Ubuntu needs a natural look. I am torn between which looks better. Although Ubuntu's themes tend to not be as good usually. Anyways it's all about opinion.

Have to agree there. It still has the same feel more or less.

Why is there a blue tendril escaping from the screen? :shock:

I have to say that I'm a much bigger fan of the FC5 artwork, http://people.redhat.com/dfong/fc5graphics/ . I think it is some of the coolest artwork done in any Linux distro.

I like UbuntuEvolve....the wall anyway. I think the rest of it looks unnecessarily busy, and that gradient is awful.

The thing I like about the FC5 art is that it all really works well as a set.

Is there any way that we can vote on this art set? I think at the very least this artwork should be available to those who prefer it.

I think all there is to do is try to encourage the person behind UbuntuEvolve to continue contributing. I've written him a mail, but haven't recieved an answer yet. I hope he's busy making a Kubuntu version of it :)

Really? I got a very prompt reply from him. It does not seem like UbuntuEvolve will make it to Edgy, but we shall see what happens.

I don't think so either.. It's a shame that a distro like Ubuntu that has so many advantages is so severely lacking in the artwork department..

You know what I have been looking for this wallpaper for a long time, thanks for the link. Here at my school's computer lab they use FC5 but I liked the FC6 wallpaper a whole lot, matter of fact that is what I am using right now thaks to your link on my school account.
