Keyboard is not reponding [RuneScape]

I have the same problem that RonTheCon had ("http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=233698), yet when I do the same thing that he was adviced to do, it doesn't help.

I installed Java using Automatix, 'cause the normal installation of Java didn't help me at all. Now I can finally play RS - FOR SOME TIME. Then my keyboard stops responding within the game.

Is there something wrong with Automatix? It all seemed so easy, 'cause I'm all new to Ubuntu.

I am having the same problem with Runescape. Maybe it is a Runescape-specific problem? 'Cause I haven't found any people having trouble with other Java keyboard stuff.

Anyone know a solution?

i had this same problem, the keyboard wouldn't work when i was trying to log-in. the fix for me was to change from the default java to SUN java at the 'select detail level' menu. hope the fix is that simple for you.

It is a keyboard focus bug with java 1.5, versions 1.4 doesnt have this bug. But for some reason in firefox this bug is even more anoying. As far i have tried it with epiphany and this rarely happend, at least not that often.

I have the same problem. I just restart Firefox and it works! Hopefully you have the same problem I do ;) .
