Ok so its my first theme for the gdm, kinda in reaction to the latest edgy theme, which i dont like that much.
I've done a silly thing in that i have made the Ubuntu word apart of the actual background so lower res screens may see some overlap. oops. Probably best viewed atm on 1152*864 or greater res.
Anyways ill endeavour to fix this if people like it ok.
Also i need to ask, how do i fix the underscores for the hot keys being too compressed? This is just a cut and past job from a fedora gdm example, so i sort of did it in a rush without any real understanding of the options availible.
I thik its alright, im not sure about the textured look and the colour isnt quite right, but its a start i think.
Anyways tell me what you think ... cheers.

I tried installing it but it said the file format was invalid. I got rid of the '.' in '0.3', but that didn't change anything.
As well as screen shots, perhaps you could provide a direct link to the file so people don't have to go through that pop-up subscribe to downloader thing.

invalid files format, hrmm ok that strange i am using the same package and it seems fine, i am using edgy though ... ill look into it tonight after work.
Screenshot is taken in xnest, and like how i mentioned the ubuntu word is not movable, so it gets cramped by the login box. Sad. But gives a good idea about how it looks and is much better on greater resolution i assure :P.

err
Attach the .tar.gz to your first post and link the screenie too.

Once you attached it I'll try to revise the gdm code so that the Ubuntu font doesn't get overlapped by the username form.
Why is there a debian logo when the ubuntu logo is there too ?

As for the Debian logo, its giving due respect, imo.

Oh and heres the complementry splash.
I quite like it for the time being, its not perfect again, my dark part is a bit low, should be moved up so the loading icons are better positioned in relation.
But i think it ties into the tango/tangerine theme well, with the blue-ish text ... this is supposing you are using tango/tangerine. ;)

I can't help you, you need to split te images.
A background image shouldn't contain the ubuntu logo, nor the debian.
Cheers

oh i realise that... i was more concerned with the option in the lower left corner, and the hot-key hints being compressed.
