Hi!
Here you have the update to 2.60 and the 2.60 full linux version
et-linux-2.60-update.x86.run (http://ftp.games.skynet.be/pub/wolfenstein/et-linux-2.60-update.x86.run)
et-linux-2.60.x86.run (http://ftp.games.skynet.be/pub/wolfenstein/et-linux-2.60.x86.run)

Really nice games! Enjoy!

hey thanks Blashyrk, I was just burnt out from installing ubuntu and then upgrading everything adn getting compiz going, trying to get steam installed with wine to be able to play CS:S (wich i have NEVER been able to get working properly on any linux distro) and then trying to get truecombat going becasue i hear its just like counter strike.

anyways thanks, and a new question about TC: when I attempt to connect to a server it get stuck downloading tons of stuff from the server and never even get to play, or I try an connect to a different server adn get errors saying that some packages are missing or a bunch of .pk3 files. any one know how to fix this? I imagine that its map's, models, weapon skins and stuff like that..... is there some website that I can download all this stuff adn then put them in the rite directory so i wont have to download stuff from game servers and actually get to play this game.

Thanks

I had the same problem, but i solved it with patience. I have not look for maps, weapons, and so. I download them from the servers i connect, and yes, i often get disconnected.

BTW, the game is like CS... but honestly, i like true combat more than CS.

edit: obviously, the problems with download content and disconnect will dissapear with time

ok now when i attempt to join servers TC doesn't download anything, it tries to but it doesnt adn then either switches between a couple files trying to download them or it kicks me with the "missing packages" error. or i got this new error saying couldn't write file blahblah wrong permissions or somthing and another error but i can't remember what it was.
gaming is the only thing that makes me keep my windows partition, and this game seems like it will solve that problem at least untill i get CS:S running in linux.
I guess I'll have to keep looking for a place to dl these missing packages.

Thanks

...gaming is the only thing that makes me keep my windows partition,...

That is exactly my situation. I would be (very, very, very) happy if more commercial games were available in linux. (or even better: more GPL games with the same quality as some (not all! some of them suck!) commercial games.

About your new errors i am sorry, but i cannot help you. All i can say is that i have installed the game in my home partition and i think all the pk3 files that the game downloads are somewhere in the game directory (¿¿etpub??) I would try to delete those downloaded files and try to connect to some servers again.

good luck!!
