CSS Relative Positionign Problem

Right I have got the layout done for a site that I am building.

here is what it is going to look like

And this is what i ahve at the moment!!

As you wills ee their is alot of blank space at the bottom were the div's that i have repostioned should be!

I cant seem to find away of getting ride of this blank space and im sure their is away.

i prefer using a float condition in your problem.

Would it not be easier to set your height to 100% rather than setting a static height of 900px ?
