hi there

we are a group of nice IT students at a major university in portugal and we have a fat pipe.. so we are thinking to do a full ubuntu mirror

but we don't found any documentation about that, could any of you give me a hint? we have nice servers piping through a 1Gbps line so we could become a nice mirror here :)

TIA

You should probably check out the "apt-mirror" package. Then the rest of it is probably letting Canonical know of your mirror's URL, and they maybe have a certifaction process of some sorts to go through.

That's to become "official". "Apt-mirror" works nice to set up a local mirror too. :)
