Ok, I was shocked and amazed to see this blog that has poped up. I find it funny because it is so ridiculous. The blog list "facts" about Ubuntu CE. The site has at least one link to an inappropriate site, but I just had to share this.

http://christianubuntu.blogspot.com/

I kind of find it neat to think that someone would take the time effort to make fun of my project in this way. I obviously don't like it, but then again, it just means more exposure. :)

Its...evil and funny.

And come ooooon, he is just teasing you :P

You knew you would get such reactions before making the OS, right?

Take it, as a negative publicity. Any publicity is good :P

EDIT: Hahaha, I actually lol'ed in real life.

These are funny.

Ubuntu Christian Edition processes can respawn only at Easter.
and

Ubuntu Christian Edition's media player automatically discovers hidden backward messages in rock music.

Of course I knew that I would get some wild reactions, but I never expected so much.

I posted the link because I thought it was funny. Like I said I don't like it or agree with it, but it is funny.

I just wanted to show that I do have a sense of humor. :)

Looks like they removed the porn link. I am glad, to see that. Now it is just a funny spoof site.

Yes, it is funny. Also much nicer than the hate email everybody at the Ichthux project got yesterday :frown:

They are fantastic and amusing..

Could we make this script? Does it exist? I recon it would be fairly awesome. lol

If you are already using Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake, there is a script to convert it to Ubuntu Christian Edition.
...
We should make a script to download/install the extra software UbuntuCE uses

This already exists. I never intended the word "Convert" to be taken that way. :)

My favorites:

Ubuntu Christian Edition's media player automatically discovers hidden backward messages in rock music.

An algorithm developed in Ubuntu Christian Edition does not need proofs.

Ubuntu Christian Edition's chmod doesn't allow 666 permission to be set.

It's just a bunch of Christian jokes in good fun; I don't think it's hatemail or anything. I enjoyed it and I am a Christian (Catholic, actually, but that's beside the point). I won't be installing Ubuntu CE as I already have regular Ubuntu installed. By the way, I noticed in a another post you spoke about Tux avatars. Where can you get the Tux avatars?

The guy has nothing to do. But I did like this one:

In Ubuntu Christian Edition the default location for saved files is /heaven.

Those are pretty funny. There are a few I think are slightly rude/wrong. My PC has now been converted! :-D

Yes, there are a few that go a bit far, but I enjoy the good natured ones.

Thanks for letting us know that you have "converted". Awesome!!

LOL these remind me of the chuck norris jokes. You shouldn't worry about them, if anything they get people talking about ubuntu CE.

Had me laughing out loud a few times.
:)

Good publicity for you guys, I was almost tempted to install it in a VM.
But temptation is evil, so I guess the newly installed system wouldn't let me login anyway ;)

Yeah, I think it is healthy to laugh at one's self. As long as the jokes do not go "too far", I think the good natured ones are great.

It's a very funny blog... lots of talented comedians having a harmless joke. Ubuntu users are used to being the butt of all jokes :-(
