It is probably not bootable CD.
use XP boot disks - download from here:

You'll need to wipe your Ubuntu installation with a Linux-based partitioning tool such as cfdisk or qtparted. You can get these on bootable Linux 'live' CDs such as Knoppix and probably Ubuntu Live. Better yet, get the SystemRescue CD, which contains a whole bunch of Linux tools - www.sysresccd.org . This is really handy. I'm using it to prepare my HD for installing Hoary which, as I'm typing this, has just finished downloading! Woohoo! :)

if you do press enter to start loading winxp if not..
go with seven's option it will get ya going.

when you boot from the cd you come to a blue screen it should say press enter to install windows or press R for recovery consle just press enter to start install. the recovery console just takes you to a command prompt.

There is a tool within the Windows XP installer to re-partition the Hard drive.
Windows XP has NO problem totally wiping a Linux partition.
