I'm setting up linux 4 a comp. library & patrons r not allowed 2 save on hard drive.
ne1 have an idea how i can limit a user 2 saving 2 a floppy?

First of all not everyone is english native speakers and sometimes gets anooying read "ne1" or "2 something" but anyway.

To change the permissions of the user to read/write something or somewhere you have to learn about groups and permissions.

Let me look for some tutorials and i'll come back later, im at work and i'm a little busy right now.

i took away write permission from home dir & that user can't logon anymore
