Does anyone know of a way to automatically exclude/filter on the list of updates from within Update Manager.

Currently, I have to deselect every kde lanuage pack apart from the one I'm interested in (English). It's not a major problem but it would be handly if this could be automated in some way.

It this something that could be done better from the command line instead of usng the gui?

If the update manager retrieves its list from apt then I could script the selection and do everything just using the command line?

Ideas anyone ?

Jan.

Strange, this doesn't happen with me in Gnome. Are you sure you don't have all the kde language packs installed, and so update manager wants to upgrade all of them. If that's not the case, you probably could report it as a bug to ubuntu.
