How can I download to my computer a pack of themes, so that I don't have to keep downloading one-by-one and then choose the one I like?

If that's not possible, at least a pack of screenshots.

thanks

you'll have to be more clear.
Is it a single compressed archive pack, or many diff packages?

if many diff packages of.....gtk themes.....you can drag your mouse over them>right-click>extract here

I think the question is geared towards some kind of prepackaged grouping of GTK (or even KDE/QT) themes, akin to how Microsoft Plus offers a number of themes together.

Perhaps this is something the community as a whole should look into... Maybe release a few more "themes" (GTK borders, colors, background, etc).

well ubuntu-artwork in dapper had what?....9 themes or so? and as far as I know that's a first for any linux distro. While I would have liked to have seen more and better quality I guess we get what we pay for, eh? The icons for some of the themes were removed at the last minute because of a lack of space on the cd, despite the fact that everyone knew 6 months in advance about how much space was availabe, but either someone didn't think ahead or they had their priorities mixed up.

Well I'm not sure if I understood you correctly, but there's the Ubuntu Art Manager which can let you browse and easily select themes and artwork without looking for them individually. They're for all artwork for Gnome.

You can install it by going to:

Applications > Add Applications > Graphics > Art Manager
