has anyone ever gotten this game working in any type of wine?
I've been looking for a way to run this on Linux for years. Sadly, it isn't possible. I hacked up cedega (from CVS) a bit once to make it actually start but there are missing DirectX things it needed so all I got was a black screen. I'd suggest gate88 (http://www.queasygames.com/gate88/)(free) or Vendetta (http://www.vendetta-online.com/)(subscription). Vendetta really isn't the same kind of game but since on Windows I only played subspace and these work for me I figured they might for you as well.
