Images/Apache

I have apache 2.0.55/php5 and mysql5 running for web development purposes and I cannot seem to get images to show on my webpages. Document root is var/www and I have an "images" folder in this directory but none of the images show. I have tried moving the images outside this folder to reside in /var/www but still to no avail. I know it isn't the xhtml so I figure it has something to do with apache. Any help is appreciated

EDIT: Wow I feel stupid. It was a problem with permissions. If anyone else can't get their images to load, make sure you set read/execute permissions on the images to let the server execute them.


by the way...how do you delete posts? this was meant for up there ^
