maconlinux help

Has anyone tried and been succesful installing maconlinux? I have a dual usb 600mhz ibook and am a total linux newb. I have looked into maconlinux.org and dl'd the rpm package for maconlinux, I used alien to try to make it workable and got a .deb package and can do nothing with it. I would like to maconlinux running to use itunes and finaldraft for scriptwriting, but have no idea what I am doing. Any help is greatly appreciated.
