Anyone gotten F.E.A.R. MP going?

I was just wondering if anyone has downloaded and toyed around with the free multiplayer version that came out today. Running it in wine it starts up but I get the following error (see the attached image to this post).

I know F.E.A.R. still seems to be pretty unsupported but perhaps there's some hacks that might make it work.

For reference: I have a nvidia geforce 6800 GS graphic card. It should be fine.

You guys are tryin to do it through wine? Is there a linux client? I know theres a server.

and yes, trying to get it going through wine. it's so close..yet so far.

try installing it with windows 98 emulation in cedega. otherwise, just use wine. cedega has more issues than wine right now.

seems like it's still incompatible. i've searched around and there's been no success. so, this game seems like it's still beyond our reach for the time being.

This game has a compability level of 0/5, pretty much meaning you'll have to wait -- at least with Cedega.

umm cant you just install it using wine then move the files over to cedega? and make a cfg for it or somthing?

Go ahead, be my guest (it installs fine with both cedega and wine..but neither will be able to run it).

It's just -not- possible yet unfortunetly.
