Populous 3 : mouse cursor won't disappear

I've installed Pop 3 on wine 0.9.19 under Win 95 mode (the mode recommended under Cedega) and it seems to run okay overall, but the mouse cursor (the regular white one, not Populous's) won't disappear at all. It just sticks there in the middle of the screen and moves, but keeps getting repositioned in the center every split second.

What should I do?

Erm... bump? I'm guessing that this isn't the only game with that problem.
