Recomend movies you've seen and liked, specially those which we might ignore or pass asside.
Just saw "Shattered Glass" on tv, twice so much I liked. Really good performances, really good movie about true-life story of Stephen Glass who fabricated stories for some years for the New Republic magazine until he was found out.
It just makes me wonder, with thousands of articles being written daily and broadcast news being shown, all competing for readers and viewers, of how many have fabrications created by less imaginative jornalists. Oh well, I still remember some years ago when 90% articles on linux on the net got their facts wrong and were heavily biased against the worth of linux, so...

Shattered Glass rocks!
I just saw "Guess Who". Awsome. I recommend Shawshank Redemption (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/), its no 2 in all time movies on IMDB@! [only behind Godfather, of course].

Forest Gump. A classic for the ages...
I always felt like the Forrest Gump in a Linux World, "I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is."
and mama always said, "Linux is like a box of chocohletz! You never know what you're gonna apt-get."

OK yes, Shattered Glass rocks hard.
Shawshank is amazing as well.
My suggestions (recent movies only, there's no way I could post all that I recommend.):
Collateral
SIN CITY-- amazing
Garden State
Napoleon Dynomite -- you may not like it, but its an experience
Saved
Cannibal, the Musical -- Tre and Matt's (of south park fame) first movie.
True Romance -- written by Tarrantino. One of the weirdest movies I've ever seen, but incredible

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
asian :

Million Dollar Baby, how could I forget that one!
But a big thumbs way the crap down to the American Pie movies. They all had their good moments, but I got sick of Jason Biggs in awkward moments about 20 minutes into the first movie. Then they went and did it for 3 movies.

American Pie 1 is the best of the three. But it's personal whether you like the humor :). I have good memories of watching it with a couple of my friends with a couple of beers. Sometimes we would watch it each week :-D.

boondock saints"Boondock Saints" rocks :)
demon666_nl, if you're a fan of asian/martial arts movies I would like to suggest "Ong-bak". It's a Thailand movie about Muay-Thai (the real deal kickboxing).
