ive currently been playing the following games on my ubuntu machine:

native: doom 3, ut2k4,quake 3

wine 0.9.18: warcraft 3, counter strike: condition zero, call of duty and fallout 2


all of the above have been running perfectly! i used the loki installer for call of duty and fallout 2 the others i just did "wine setup.exe"


dont know what the point of this post is....just reporting success i suppose :)

There is one Windows game I wish for the life of me I could get working under linux, and that is Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. It supposedly worked at one point under wine, but that was years ago, and it has since been broken, though I haven't tried installing it lately. I would love to get this one working.

Other than that, I am actually quite amazed at the progress Wine has made. Then again, I have been using Linux for so long, that I remember when Wine could barely run notepad and solitaire, and even then they'd be quite crash prone.

where can i download counterstrike condition zero
i know it had steem for windows if its a copy and i couldnt get passed this

At the moment I'm playing warzone 2100, which is a great game
I also have warsow, rtcw:et + tce and sauerbraten, but because my university decided to close tons of ports I'm not able to play them online :(
