Could anyone tell me what the following image means?
I get this error message when I click the video button
to install the playback for video on webpages.
I ran Synaptic thinking there may be broken packages there,
but none were found.
Everything else I wanted to intall did so nicely.
Thanks for your help.

I just got this and checked the forum, only to find someone else with the same problem. I tried the "fix packages" option in synaptic but the problem persists.
Need help!

It doesn't say in the "about" pane. I downloaded it yesterday, so whatever the latest version is.

What is the wget line you copied and pasted into the terminal?
Please tell me so that I know the version of EasyUbuntu that you have, and how you got it.

The problem appears to only happen with certain packages. Ones I've been able to narrow it down to are Nvidia drivers, fonts, and flash player. I was able to install some others, such as the codecs.

Taken straight from here (http://easyubuntu.freecontrib.org/get.html)...
wget http://easyubuntu.freecontrib.org/files/easyubuntu-3.022.tar.gz
tar -zxf easyubuntu-3.022.tar.gz
cd easyubuntu
sudo python easyubuntu.in

OK. I think thhat 3.02.3 is supposed to fix this, so replace the "3022" with "3023" in the URL. But once again, I THINK that it will fix this problem. If it does (or doesn't), please reply.

Well of course you would; since 3.022 is the latest version

Problem fixed. At least in my case.
I was poking around in Synaptic and realized that
all of my repositories were not enabled.
There were no update repositories at all.
Once they were enabled install went well.

I had this problem too today, and I've been able to narrow it down to one option: play movies in your browser. I took exactly the seem request, minus the browserplugin, and I didn't get the error anymore.
I have another ubuntu-box which has the easyubuntu packages for a while now, and since a few weeks, there's an update pending for totem. However, it can not be updated, unless you uninstall the totem-plugin for firefox.
So if your box is up to date, totem has version 1.4.3 (with gstreamer 0.10.6). The browserplugin requires a lower version, so it can not be installed, unless you downgrade totem.
So I guess this problem can be narrowed down to one package: the totem-plugin for firefox which needs an upgrade :)
