I'm using a skin for BMP, which I like but for one thing. The cursor.
It's difficult to see and inaccurate. I would like to remove it.

So, I opened up the archive and had a look. there are a few bitmaps which I could see, and a few .cur files which I couldn't.

Rather than delete them one by one till I find the correct one, I thought I'd ask you guys first.

So, is there either a .cur viewer or what's the name of the cursor file in the skin package.

It'll be one of these:
close.cur
eqclose.cur
eqnormal.cur
eqslid.cur
eqtitle.cur
mainmenu.cur
min.cur
normal.cur
pclose.cur
pnormal.cur
posbar.cur
psize.cur
ptbar.cur
pvscroll.cur
pwinbut.cur
pwsnorm.cur
pwssize.cur
songname.cur
titlebar.cur
volbal.cur
volbar.cur
winbut.cur
wsclose.cur
wsmin.cur
wsnormal.cur
wsposbar.cur
wswinbut.cur

You know, under the Appearance section of the BMP properties, you can disable custom cursors.

Hmm, I didn't know that. Thanks.

In the end I managed to view all the files with gthumb, and simply deleted all the custom cursors. It surprised me that there were so many, it was barely visible against the background so I hadn't noticed.

was it a skin or a cursor?

You should be able to disable the skin and go back to the default one on the main menu...

Or if that doesn't work, search for customs skins on google or askjeeves, and find one you like...install it... etc.

It was a skin, which included a fancy cursor. I like the skin but I found the cursor difficult to see and use so I wanted to use the normal one.

Had I known about disabling it, I wouldn't have gone and deleted the images from the skin, but it's fixed now and I'm happy and wiser.
