schooltool help

hi all. i have been tring to get schooltool to work for our schools pre inspection. they would like know if this software will work before aug 23. please help fast. i have followed the schooltools development server instructions to the bone. i have one problem though. i can't access the server. it says use http://localhost:7080 to access the web page. i can't even do that. it says server not found. i have also used my servers local host name and internal and external ip address. could someone help me please. thank you

I think we're going to need a bit more info about what you have done.

I just did an install of schooltool straight from synaptic and got up the schooltool calendar page using http://localhost:7080.

what do you get from your browser when you put that address in?

EDIT: sorry - I just noticed you say it says server not found. Do you have apache or some other web server installed?
