xmame -- only sees two games..

i've got xmame-sdl 1.01 and gxmame 0.35b2 installed with a few roms in a directory ~/games/neogeo_roms gxmame can see and play 1941 and 19xx, but cant see anyother roms in the dir..

i've tryed DL some roms again of rom-world, and still no luck... any sugestions?

oh and does any body know if there is a .deb floating around for xmame1.06?

Check your permissions. Also, there are newer Xmame packages in Debian Sid. They are .106 even.

They do work (at least last time I tried them, which was around .105) in Ubuntu. I'm still not sure why Ubuntu's is always so old. Just make sure you get all the packages (xmame-common, xmame-SDL, etc.) so they match the right version.
