I was editing movies on a Mac with iMovie and got some lack of space problems. You see, I like to keep snapshot of various stage of completion. One from the begining so I am able to work with the raw material if I edit too much and am unable to come undo and one before each big change or if I didn't made one since some time.
Of course, this takes a tremendous amount of disk space. So I was thinking that it would be very convenient to use a version control system to take care of making snapshots for me.
And then I got an idea, it would be really awesome if there was an easy GUI where I could create projects and CVS or Subversion (or Bazaar NG) would be used as a back-end to do all the hard work. It would also be really cool if it would notice when I change file and would auto-commit them.
I think it would fit nicely in a Gnome desktop.
So, what do you all think about this idea ?
