hi.
I am trying to play ElderScrolls 3: Morrowind 'Game of the year edition' on Ubuntu Hoary 5.04.
computer is a 1,4 GHz Centrino Thinkpad R40 with ATI Mobility 7500
I tried to play this game with Cedega before (Warty) and was very disappointed with the performance. playing in windows worked fine but under Ubuntu this was unbearably slow.
I realize there are no accelerated binary drivers for my old redeon mob. 7500, but now on Hoary with x.org and the optimized settings from here:

suddenly the game plays fast enough. smooth graphics, sound, everything definitely playable.
problem is, as soon as I try to leave the ship you start upon, Cedega exits to the desktop.
tryed with Cedega 4.1,4.2, 4.3 - no difference.
