I've listen to just 3 shows and Im a fan!!!! The show is really great!!! It's just what ubuntu needed. I've also learned some great tips like "Google browser sync". And the show notes are hot too!
But I have a few sugestions.
1. Use Audacity, "normalize","noise removal",and "levler" to clean up audio. If you need help using these settings PM me.
2. Stay away from the KDE vs Gnome topic because "Who cares" smart userser realize this issue is about "the right tool for the right job." Both desktops have there strengths.
3. Avoid topics in you personal life like, "your internet conection is down." and "people shmashing free ubuntu cd". It just takes away from the show.
Other than that, the show is awsome!!! Keep up the good wook and I look forward to the future shows. I would love to get in touch with you guys if you want to skype me, PM me and will talk.

AGREE. Try to get all tracks the same volume.

DISAGREE. Fighting is fun to listen to.
3. Avoid topics in you personal life like, "your internet conection is down." and "people shmashing free ubuntu cd". It just takes away from the show.
DISAGREE. It makes the show better. Otherwise, the show gets dry and boring.

Yea, will do in future. I have done some of them in the past, but not all of them.
2. Stay away from the KDE vs Gnome topic because "Who cares" smart userser realize this issue is about "the right tool for the right job." Both desktops have there strengths.
It gives us something to talk about, and allows us to show what one is better for different people (ie, KDE is better for people with dual screens).
3. Avoid topics in you personal life like, "your internet conection is down." and "people shmashing free ubuntu cd". It just takes away from the show.
Well, if James didn't tell you that his Internet was down, you would have been confused of why he couldn't access everything. Things in our personal lives that are related to Ubuntu or affect the podcast in any way I think are ok :).
Anyway, thanks for the post/email (got that too. Will only reply here. I'm lazy :/) :).
Edit: Just checked the voicemails and got yours. Thanks! :)

Yes, I did here a message before I left a voice mail. And yes, you can play my voice mail on the show (please take out my skype address). I would be interested in helping with or being on the show. I’ve been using Ubuntu. Since Warty and have really seen it grow. I can also help you get the show on itunes via podcast if your interested. It’s very easy to do. I work as a A/V professional for a college specializing in Video conferencing, sat. Communications,VOIP, and more. Ubuntu is the only OS that I run at home so, I’m a total convert. I have a few possible Ideas for show topics too.
Some possible Ideas for future shows could be.
Bluetooth
The future of Linux multi media
Video codec’s
Flash 9 ??? / gunash
Video players (Mplayer 8) mplayer 7, VLC, Xine, Movie player, ect.
Open source formats and portable devices
M$ office vs Open office vs Google’s Writley & Gsheet
OSX vs Vista vs Ubuntu
Making the switch to Ubuntu.
Benefits of open source.
Does Ubuntu need a better marketing campaign with vista coming out? Commercials? Or could the money be spent better else where?
History of Ubuntu.
Video editing
Ubuntu on a corporate scale.
I have many more Ideas for show topics. If you have already discussed some of these Ideas please disregard them. I love the show and look forward to listening to the future shows.
Take care,
Andrew Moore

I've been trying to figure out how to normalize the audio on the most recient podcast without success. It seem there's a lot of cliping. It also looks like the show was recorded in Stereo. You may want to try 56kbs mono instead of 128kbs (guessing here on what you used). You'll get the same audio quality and smaller file sizes. I like it! Keep it up.

I am enjoying the UbuntuOS podcast! I think it was a great idea to have one team focus on Ubuntu and the other focus on Kubuntu. Josh, Sal, and the rest of you are doing a great job promoting Ubuntu in a very entertaining format.
Thank you!
Bryan
