Hi
I'm trying to run Diablo II in wine, an older game which should enjoy some support, but the game its video test as it cannot find any directx related dll files, I think. Is there a guide somewhere how to get directx support in wine?

Well andother D2 addict :). My entire family plays the game. I was never able to get it to run with wine, it never sees the cd. Some people say use a nocd crack, but I have no want ot need to lose a cd key to warden. Cedega runs it flawlesly. There are some settings but it tkaes 2 minutes for that.

Thank you. I think I'll give Cedega a try. Wine finds the cd alright and it runs the installer no problem, but it then tries to locate some files having to do with direct x, which fails and if Cedega provides that functionality I'm really through trying to figure this out myself.

O wine will find the game and install ok. But you will get the "install CD, cd not in the drive" when you try to play D2. D2 checks to see if the cd is installed like a lot of games.
