I just got to share this: I'm using XP here at work and this morning I had to change my password. I made a mistake when changing and an instruction window popped up telling:
"Your new password... blah blah .... and it must be at least 2 days old."
I mean really! New password that is at least two days old... LOL! Is XP a mind reading OS or something?

XP expects you to read its mind :D
Thats why when you get a BSOD in XP it automagically reboots... ](*,)

That is so true, in a funny way. I hate it because you can never know wtf is going on...

Linux can be annoying as well. Sometimes my apps magically disapear :-k Expecially sucks when it's open office; one thing I liked about windows is that it chugged it out. But I definitely hated XP's rebooting... ughhhh... you don't realize how many projects went down the drain :-#

Why do my windows never disappear... My Ubuntu install is just boring I guess :(. But whatever is still wrong with Linux, Windows beats it by far when it comes to strange un-explainable situations :).

seriously, so far this ubuntu install has been rock solid for me, i guess I just have easy hardware or something. At least in linux you can look in the log files and figure it out, windows is a guessing game.

Using Warty?
Hoary, so I guess it doesn't count :)
It mostly happens when I've got firefox, three different open office programs and xmms or something. It does happen though, and it's annoying. Maybe it's a combo of OO2 and Hoary still not being final.
Luckily OO2 has a wonderful document recovery program :)

I don't know why, but this amused me so much I had to screencap it.

You know, that SAME thing happens to me. With Firefox mainly. It just... disappears.
I use Hoary, but it even happened in warty. I thought at first it was a bug in firefox, but you get that in several programs apparently.
Wow, i'm glad i'm not the only one this happens to.
