Hello,

Whenever I unplug my PSP (Playstation Portable) after adding/deleting songs/files etc. I find that these changes haven't been made.

When I plug in the PSP it give me the iPod icon, making me think this is the problem.

Thanks for any advice.

I'm having a similar problem with my psp. It worked fine on breezy, but there is definately something wrong with dapper. I can make folders and the like on my psp, but things (like audio files) don't make it into the folder. Also, I can't update via the internet. If I move the update file I downloaded over something happens and it ends up corrupted when I get back into the psp.

edit: I've had to log into windows once in the last month and it was to get the locoroco demo working :(

Right click on the psp icon on the desktop, and select "eject". That should commit the changes.

Hmm... when you connect your PSP to your PC, it should detect it as a normal USB drive (e.g. for Memory Sticks). So you should do as what the above person said and eject it after you're done modifying the files. :)

Please tell me you didn't update to 2.71! Downgrade your psp down to 1.5 and you can run homebrew like emulators for just about any system, plus with a program called DevHook, you can emulate higher firmware to play games that require it, while keeping the homebrew capabilities of 1.5.

I sure hope you didn't upgrade past 2.71, for there is no way to downgrade past that (4 now!). You can now even play hombrew on a 2.80 psp with the recently discovered tiff exploit (check out pspupdates.qj.net) there is tetris, pong and tron. You can downgrade a 2.71 psp with the tiff exploit, i have done it. Format your ms (backup first). The fact that is an ipod isn't the problem, tha happens for al of us. Once u formatted, and saved ur songs (whatever), check in ur psp directory. You may have noticed that th ms light wasn't flashing before. Once ur done with ur changes, ricgh-click on the psp "iPod" icon on ur desktop and click eject. It will write the savings and all should be well. I've played to locoroco demo and it'sgreat, i put it on my ms with ubuntu, no need for ms. :-)
