Hello all,
I realize that this has probabely been asked before but google and the forum search are not being helpfull :?
I installed Quake2 and the datafiles on ubuntu 4.x but it didn' t work. Then I read somewhere that it works in SDL (you need to startup with a command for that) and that works. Then I found this page (http://www.bartendavid.be/doc/howto/games/install/quake2-english.html) trat said I needed to copy libGL.so into the quake2 folder to make it work with OpenGL. Well.... it didn' t :( All I can get to work is the software SDL rasterizer. I copied the libGL.so into /usr/lib/games/quake2 (where I put the /baseq2 datafiles as well) but it doesn' t recognize it, and then complains about not being able to find the default (non-SDL) rasterizer and quits after that.
Could anyone tell me what to do to get Quake2 running with OpenGL?
