I completly new whit linux and i've only used mac OS 9 and OS X before. The only reason i installed ubuntu was becuse for some reason Mac OS (all of them) wouldn't run propertly on my powerbook G3 (pismo) so here I am.......

Don't get me wrong I don't mind running Ubuntu at all but i don't have a clue about anything. Where can a newbie find som good easy to undrestand documentation about how to run and operate ubuntu and how you do to install applications and things like that. I haven't played very much with the terminal on OSX but I do know how to navigate between directorys but thats about it.

So any suggestion would be helpful.

When I was a total Unix newb I read the book Think Unix to learn the basics -- check the local public library. There's some good resources on the web, try a Google with "linux beginner" or a phrase similar to that.
