When trying to install enemy territory and it uncompressing the archive I get a message /root/.setup8435: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
./setup.sh: line 143: 8459 Segmentation fault "$setup" "$@" 2>>$NULL
The setup program seems to have failed on x86/glibc-2.1

Not sure what it means, i'd like to play this game

It's a package on the Ubuntu repositories, you should use Synaptic to get it. Read some of the introductory howtos or the Ubuntu wiki for more information on using Synaptic.
