Here's my setup:
I have a server running Edubuntu with Squid installed and running.
My clients are older Win 98 machines that I've removed the harddrives from, and they are connecting to the server and loading up fine.
What I'm wanting to do this is:
I have 2 NIC's in my server.
ETH0 on my Edubuntu server connects to the work LAN here.
EHT1 connects to the "Edubuntu network".
I have installed Squid on the Edubuntu server. I want to set it up where the clients will use the Proxy located on the Server (192.168.0.1:3128), and firewall off the connection to ETH0 from the clients.
Reason for this is that the setup will be going down into the school room of the hospital here, and the kids do not need to be able to get outside of that lab, with the exception of HTTP requests. I do not want any of the clients to even been able to see any of my work machines on the network. The Server will be in a secure room, so it is welcome to see my LAN fine. However, not the clients.
Anyone up for helping me out on this?
Thanks in advance.
