Hi, I've just started trying out kubuntu after being a long time slacker and although I'm really liking it I've got a problem in that my modem doesn't work under linux (although 2.6.10+ drivers are in development for it).
I'm in the situation of having to download one package find out dependancys by trying to install then booting back into windows and finding those packages and then repeating(erg) and I was wondering if there was a port of apt to win32 or an apt like program that I could could copy my kubuntu setup files to and use that to download all the needed dependancys in one go.
I've tried compiling apt with cygwin but the config script spawns countless makes that are seemingly doing nothing so I guess it has to be ported properly... is there a cygwin port of apt and I just can't find it? Or are there other win32 apps that will do this? Or is there something else I can do?
Thanks for any help :)
