What repository should I select? Becuase I selected them all!

I want the universe and multiverse repositories enabled along with the commercial programs. I checked all the items in the repository menu. But some of them are identical except some are binaries and other are sources. What is the difference and what should I select?

you can safely select both, if I understand correctly. I've always used both and I've never had a problem.

I believe the binaries are the ones that are actually used- they are the compiled programs.

I'm not sure what purpose the source repositories play, but I'm sure they're there for reason.
