EasyUbuntu failure

I was hoping to use EU to get RealPlayer working (the Firefox plug-in) so that one of the common web video formats might actually work with Ubuntu. Looks like it failed. Looks like it expected me to be running KDE whereas my system uses Gnome. Should I try something else?
