hey

i just installed ubuntu linux 5.10, and i was wondering how do you install a program any one i keep reading run atp-install or w/e i rly dont get it or untar, how do i do this, i searched but couldnt really find anything if i have posted in the wrong place please move this thread or if there is anothere thread about this subject then please direct me to it

Please see the How to Install Anything in Ubuntu link in my sig. It has simple, pictoral instructions that will lead you through the process. Trust me, a few minutes with this link will save you a lot of pain.

Two other bits of help: You might want to post some questions (and read) in the Absolute Beginner Talk part of the forum. Great people and fast help. Also, try to use a more descriptive title for your question. Doing so helps get the right eyeballs on your problem.
