I got these errors. When I redo "sudo python easyunbuntu.in"
there were two options related to codecs that were not greyed out. I suppose the others were installed successfully except these two. Any suggestion how I can rectify?

I think there is an error in the easyubuntu script. I went to the packages.freecontrib.org to see if the packages are there.

The codec packages are in
http://packages.freecontrib.org/plf/dists/dapper/free/binary-i386/Packages.gz

instead of

http://packages.freecontrib.org/ubuntu/plf/dists/dapper/free/binary-i386/Packages.gz

Let me tell you the very fact that this issue has not been fixed and has been known about for almost a month is a sad day for the Ubunut community. You realize this program is mentioned on every single review I've read, not to mention newbies rely on it. You want them to go to another distro instead??? So whoever takes care of this package this needs to be fixed now. I'm no programmer, but it is a wrongly pointed link for god sakes, that can't be that hard to fix.

Supposedly this was fixed in the nightly build from 2006-07-17, hopefully it is released soon:
