Hey all,
I was curious if there was any sort of Linux software that exists for making CD booklets or foldouts like whats used on the inside of music CDs (I've got a band and we're cutting an album. The studio's audio production machine is running Ubuntu). All my searches have pretty much turned up fruitless, and I'd like to do a mock up printout of my work before I send it out to a printer for production.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

I found the attached on the openoffice.org website somewhere back when they were still in version 1.something. They were freely available for download and use. Take a look and see if you want to use them in OOo Writer.

Sweet, can you tell us a bit more about this? What app do they use? What kind of interface to recording devices? Other interesting tidbits?

Are you planning on sending the mock up to the printing company for them to re-create? If you plan on sending them the file, the problem that you may run into is most printing companies require files in the CMYK color format. From what I've read Linux doesn't quite have the graphic tools for CMYK yet, and if they exist they're still in the early stages. You may have to make friends with someone who has Photoshop or another production printing friendly app.
