Hey all,
I know many of us use and enjoy openoffice on ubuntu.
Recently OpenOffice has been thinking about an ad campaign in a New York newspaper to publicize and increase the usage of oOo.
Wouldn't it be great if we(the open source movement) got more market share? Too many people do not know that openoffice even exists. (what?! isnt the only alternative wordpad)
A full featured suite , OpenOffice.org is free, and can provide a (better?) alternative to the painfully overpriced Microsoft Office suite to the common user.
They are currently seeking donations to fund a FULL PAGE ad in Metro Newspaper in New York. (goal = $5000)
Here the link
