I need help installing doom 3
i have downloaded this doom3-linux-1.1.1282.x86.run, and i have
71b8d37b2444d3d86a36fd61783844fe pak000.pk4
4bc4f3ba04ec2b4f4837be40e840a3c1 pak001.pk4
fa84069e9642ad9aa4b49624150cc345 pak002.pk4
f22d8464997924e4913e467e7d62d5fe pak003.pk4
38561a3c73f93f2e6fd31abf1d4e9102 pak004.pk4
i innstalled this, followd the instructions
sudo sh doom3-linux-1.1.1282.x86.run
and then copied the files to the base directory in
/usr/local/games/doom3/base
What can i do to start the game ?

The demo was opened in a terminal by typing doom3-demo, so i'm guessing doom3 should do it?

nope, i dont have any file in the directory named doom3 do i have to make or compile something ?

Just out of curiousity did you follow the exact install instructions (htm file) on the cds? I ask because installing doom3 you need to follow those instructions to the letter.
I am currently running it by the way.
edit should be 3 complete cds

i currently don't have the cd's just the pk files that are needed for the install and a serial , could you send thouse instruction on my email: ali.huss@gmail.com

it seems to me that i need scons but the scons in hoary is a older v. then doom 3 is asking for

Did you download this from ID's Site? because the install is different from the CD install

Well, I've got Doom 3 up and running in Warty by following the instructions on:
