View Full Version : [ubuntu] 12.04 64 bit won't save microphone volume settings

Every time I reboot my 12.04 64 bit machine I have to increase the mic volume if I want to be heard. It never preserves the old setting. I have tried running: "sudo alsactl store" but after I reboot the volume settings are still lost.

How do I fix this? Does 13.04 have this issue? Will future version of Ubuntu get this right?

I'm sure I could write a script, but I really hope there's an OS feature that fixes this.

Did you ever resolve this issue? Since the steam client is now available on linux (I use my mic more), I'm finding this bug to be extremely annoying also ;)
