Problem with Gnome 3.8

Hello guys,

I was on Ubuntu 12.10 then I upgraded to Ubuntu 13.04 then I upgraded Gnome to 3.8.
The problem is Gnome 3.8 seems to lag a lot. Is there something to fix that? Thanks in advance

When does it lag the most? Is it when you are opening an application, removing one, basically what is making it lag that you see a pattern in (if any)?

Are you using a custom theme? If so then make sure your theme is compatible. Lots of issues with themes since they break from gtk 3.4 -> 3.6 -> 3.8. It's a real mess.

The lag comes once I log in. When I want to open any application or even access the internet through wireless network
