Pretty new to ubuntu and I have 12 if I remember right.
I have it on my boys laptop and need some help with logkeys.
I have it installed correctly (I think) but can't view the logs.

I get to a screen with this at the bottom and for the life of me, I simply can't figure it out:
^G Get Help ^O WriteOut ^R Read File ^Y Prev Page ^K Cut Text ^C Cur Pos
^X Exit ^J Justify ^W Where Is ^V Next Page ^U UnCut Text^T To Spell

I'm sure Im gonna look like a fool but can someone help this old gal out pleeease. :P TIA :P

Hi Shelly, welcome to the forums :)

I need to clear up a few things; make sure we are talking about the same thing.

What is "it"? How did you download/install "it"? "Logkeys"? Is this a key-logger?

And at the risk of sounding whiny, your post is hard to read.

Oops sorry n thank you! Yes I installed a keylogger. Did it thru the terminal.
This one to be exact: https://code.google.com/p/logkeys/downloads/detail?name=logkeys-0.1.1a.tar.gz&can=2&q=
Thanks :)

Are you sure this is the best solution? I'm sure all kids have something they'd rather their mothers didn't find out about (however silly it might be!), and you've got a lot of rubbish to look through if they use it a lot. There's internet content filtering software and 'nanny' programs available...

What you describe is a command-line text editor called nano. If you want to look up and down the file, just use the arrow keys. If you want to save, use Control+O, and if you want to quit, use Control+X.

Arrow keys didn't work. I saw a new file option, but no way to read it.
I just need to be able to see the logs and I can't figure it out :(
