installing ubunut server 6.06

Is there a way to install Ubuntu Server 6.06 without going into the live CD. It comes to the boot: menu but it won't properly work with the video if I try to install using the live CD. I tried the live video=ifonly but it didn't do any better. Thanks. (Don't know how to put the ubuntu server edition on a disk on a PC to make it bootable on a mac, if someone thinks this is a good idea please tell me!)

You need either the Alternate or Server install CD (the Server CD has an excellent LAMP option at boot, if you're looking to setup a webserver). You shouldn't have to do anything special to make the CDs bootable.
