This isn't exactly the same as the UT2004 thread, and I wasn't sure if I should make a new thread there. So, I decided that, for organization's sake, use a new thread.
Anyhow, I have sound in UT2003 by using the multiple sounds HOW-TO and reading elsewhere. The problem is that the sound is garbled (or perhaps low quality?) and sped up (around 125% or 150% normal speed). I have my sound quality up at high.
I have tried other games (Enemy Territory, Quake3, Tuxracer, Tuxkart) and I get good sound and video, no problem. I had UT2003 running on another distro just fine (i think it was MEPIS), no sound problems or video problems; now in Ubuntu, I am having this little problem.
Whats going on? Is this the same engine problem or what?
