light doesn't go off in the USB

hi!

I was able to open the USB flash drive and i was able to eject it also.
BUt the light is still glowing on the USB drive,i want to know how to turn off the light so that the usb stops completely.
I am new to ubuntu

Help would be appreciated.

I have one like that as well and I have been removing it from the port with no issues. I try however to wait till I shut it down if I could.
