You should be good to go with the Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU.
AMD CPUs work perfectly fine too, but AMD GPUs don't work that well even with proprietary drivers. I'm not 100% sure if this applies to AMD's APUs too.

I haven't had any problems with AMD Catalyst propietary drivers (using A4 APU).

Anand is a respected reviewer, and he gives the AMD a slight edge for "basic usage desktop computers."

I have a two-year-old laptop with an AMD APU, and video has never been an issue.

Don't expect either of those CPUs to match an i5, but they don't cost much.
